Weekly vs. Bi-Weekly Lawn Mowing: Which Is Right for You?
Weekly or every-other-week mowing? A straightforward comparison for Southwest Florida homeowners — cost, curb appeal, and what your lawn actually needs.
One of the most common questions we get when setting up new lawn care customers in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda: should I go weekly or bi-weekly? Here's how to decide.
Weekly wins on curb appeal
There's no way around it — a weekly cut just looks better. The grass stays at an even height, edges stay crisp, and the lawn never has that 'grew too tall, got scalped' recovery look. Homes for sale, HOA-strict neighborhoods, and anyone who cares about the yard being sharp week to week should go weekly.
Bi-weekly wins on cost
Two visits a month instead of four is roughly half the invoice. If your lawn grows slowly (Bahia in shade, winter months, drought stretches), bi-weekly can look totally acceptable.
Season matters
Summer growth in Florida is aggressive. Even if you're on bi-weekly in winter, most customers switch to weekly from June through September. We happily adjust the schedule with the season.

Our recommendation
For most Charlotte County homes, weekly May–October and bi-weekly November–April is the best balance of price and curb appeal. We can set that up automatically so you never have to think about it.
