How to Prepare for Your Junk Removal Appointment

You booked your junk removal appointment. Now what? Here's what to do in the hour or two before we pull up, so the whole job goes faster (and cheaper).

1. Pile what you can

The single biggest factor in your final price is how long it takes us to load. Items already in one spot — driveway, garage, front yard — load in a fraction of the time of items scattered across the house. Even loose 'rough piles' help.

If you physically can't move things, no problem — that's literally our job. Just tell us where they are.

2. Tag what's STAYING

We've never accidentally hauled the wrong thing, but a sticky note or piece of painter's tape on anything that should NOT go gives everyone peace of mind. Especially helpful for tenants, estate cleanouts, or 'one room only' jobs.

3. Clear a path for the truck

Move cars out of the driveway. Open the gate. Unlock the side door. If we can back the truck close to the load, your job goes 10–20 minutes faster.

4. Disconnect appliances ahead of time

If a fridge, washer, dryer, or dishwasher is coming out, unplug it and disconnect water lines the night before. Defrost fridges and freezers if you can — it makes them lighter and avoids leaks in our truck.

5. Have someone available for 5 minutes

We don't need you to hover, but we do need a quick walkthrough at the start to confirm exactly what's going and a final look at the end to confirm we got everything. Five minutes total.

6. Be ready for the final quote

We give you a firm price BEFORE we lift anything. No surprises, no upcharges mid-job. If the price works, we get to work. If not, no charge for the visit.

What to expect on the day

We text when we're on the way. We walk the job with you. We quote. You approve. We load (usually 20–60 minutes). We sweep up. You pay (cash, check, Zelle, or Cash App). Done.
